Parenthood Method Is Different for Everyone

There are times when God allows us to reach the end of our own understanding so that we can fully depend on Him. Human beings naturally want certainty. We want to know when, where, and how our prayers will be answered. However, God often reveals the promise without revealing every detail of the process.

This is why many people become frustrated. They know what God has promised, but they do not understand the route He has chosen. Many believers spend years asking God the question, “Why is my testimony delayed or different from that of others?”.

The answer is simple: God does not write the same story for everyone. If He did, there would be no need for faith or to pray. The God who opened Sarah’s womb in old age is the same God who gave Samuel to Hannah after years of waiting. Yet their journeys were different.

The blessing was the same, but the process or the timing was not. One of the mistakes many people make is assuming that God’s blessing must arrive in a particular way. When God does not follow their expectations, they become discouraged.

Some people have rejected divine solutions because those solutions did not look the way they imagined. They wanted God to work through one door, but God had already prepared another door. While they were praying for one method, God was directing them toward a different path.

Some people are tired in their journey of parenthood. They tried different methods, but nothing seems to work for them. Sometimes God allows a long waiting period because He is working on things that we cannot see.

He may be preparing your heart, strengthening your faith, arranging circumstances, or positioning the right people around you. He may be preparing your babies. What appears to be a delay in your expectation may actually be divine protection.

If God were to give us certain blessings before the appointed time, some people would not have the wisdom, maturity, or understanding to handle them properly. Some got the blessings with their efforts without seeking God first and then they lost it.

There are also situations where God uses an unusual path to reveal His glory to us. Many testimonies would never exist or come to pass if God always worked through ordinary means or the timing of men. Throughout the Bible, God repeatedly chose methods that surprised people and more beneficial to us.

He used a shepherd boy to defeat a giant. He used a widow’s little oil to settle debts. He used a basket on a river to preserve Moses. He used the story of Hannah to pass a message to expectant mothers. The danger comes when people become stubborn about how God should answer their prayers.

Instead of listening to His direction, they insist on their own plan or method. When God says, “Wait,” they want to move. When God says, “Move,” they want to wait. When God says your pregnancy is coming, they do something that will stop the process.

When God says, “Trust Me,” they keep comparing themselves with others. They compare their life with the life of those who having brith to children. Comparison has robbed many people of their joy, peace and happiness in marriage.

It has caused many to focus on what God is doing in another person’s life instead of appreciating what He is doing in their own life. God is not under pressure because someone else received a testimony of babies before you. He has not forgotten your address. He has not ignored your recent prayers.

He has not closed your womb. The fact that another parents received a child through one method does not mean that same method is God’s plan for you. Your responsibility is not to copy another person’s testimony but to follow God’s leading for your own life.

There is a peace that comes when a couple finally surrenders to God’s will. At that point, anxiety and pressure begins to disappear. The person stops striving to get it in their own way and starts seeing the need to trust God more.

They stop asking, “When?” and begin asking, “O Lord, perfect Your promsies in my life”. They stop focusing but keep seeking people’s opinions that will only bring disappointment. When you allow people’s opinion to bring you fear, you would be distracted.

Some people have prayed and fasted for years concerning a child, believing that God would answer them in a specific way like others. But God may have already prepared another solution that they have refused to consider because it does not match their expectations.

The truth is that God’s purpose is not always to satisfy our preferences but to fulfill His perfect plan for our lives. What matters most is not whether God answers us according to our desires, but whether His will is accomplished. No wonder the Bible says our ways and thoughts are quite different from the thoughts of God.

There are people who have spent years blaming themselves for situations that were never their fault. They wonder if they did something wrong in the past, if God is punishing them, or if they lack enough faith to attract the attention of heaven towards them. In many cases, none of these things are true.

Sometimes God simply has a different assignment for a person’s life. It is not every journey that will look the same with others. The method God used to answer other person might be different from yours. God is a God of variety. He choose the best methods for us.

There are people who will conceive naturally and give birth without any medical assistance. There are others who will have children through IVF. Some may become parents through adoption, while others may receive their children through surrogacy.

None of these paths automatically means that God is angry with a person or that He has forgotten them. Sometimes, God allows different routes because He has a unique plan and purpose for every life. One of the greatest sources of frustration is trying to force a path that God has not ordained for you.

When God has determined that a person will receive a child through a particular means, fighting against that direction may only lead to disappointment, emotional pain, and unnecessary delay. There are people who have spent years and enormous resources pursuing one option after another, only to discover later that God had prepared a different route for them from the beginning.

Likewise, there are situations where God has promised someone that they will have their children, but impatience pushes people to seek alternatives elsewhere before God’s appointed time. In some cases, repeated medical procedures may fail, not because God lacks the power to make them succeed, but because His timing has not yet arrived.

Maybe He has not approved that method for you. God’s delays are not always denials. He sees the end from the beginning and understands what is best for His children. We must also be careful not to judge people because of the path they took to become parents.

Sometimes people speak carelessly, making others feel inferior because their journey was different. This ought not to be so among believers. The blessing of a child should be celebrated regardless of how God brought that blessing into the family. Compassion, understanding, and love should replace criticism and comparison.

One lesson every expectant parent must learn is that God’s time is always the best. If God has directed you toward a particular path that looks somehow to you, maybe like IVF, surrogacy, or adoption you do not need to apologize for following His leading.

Whether people understand it or not, your responsibility is to obey God. God does not want you to end in shame. When He asks you to follow a method, and it’s according to His Will, do it urgently. A person who trusts God deeply does not become bitter when life unfolds differently than expected.

Instead, they remain open to divine direction. They understand that God’s blessings are not limited to one method. If one door closes, God is able to open another door. If one option fails, God can create a new opportunity that will work for you. God is not restricted by human systems, medical reports, age, opinions, or circumstances.

The enemy often uses disappointment to make people believe that waiting on God is unecessary. He whispers thoughts such as, “If God loved you, you would have gotten your children by now.” But that is not true. God’s silence does not mean His absence.

God’s may be different from yours, but His faithfulness remains unchanged. Even when nothing appears to be happening, God is still working behind the scenes. Every child is a gift from God, whether the child comes through natural conception, medical assistance, adoption, or surrogacy.

The important thing is not how the blessing arrives but that God is glorified through the testimony. Instead of measuring your life by another person’s story, focus on God’s plan for your own journey. When you stop comparing and start trusting God, your heart will find rest.

God has not forsaken you. He has seen your tears, hears your prayers, and understands your desires before you ask. In His own way and in His own time, He will bring to pass that which He has ordained for your life. Accepting God’s will does not mean giving up; it means trusting that the God who created you knows the best route to your testimony.

Sometimes the greatest miracle is not only receiving the blessing but also receiving the wisdom to recognize the path God has chosen for you. The truth remains that God is never late. He may not work according to our schedule, but He always works according to His perfect plan.

What He has ordained for your life will come to pass at the appointed time. Your responsibility is to remain faithful, remain prayerful, and remain obedient. Refuse to allow fear, pressure, impatience, or the opinions of people to push you outside God’s will.

When your story is finally complete, you will discover that every delay, every waiting season, every difficult decision, and every unexpected turn had a purpose. You may not understand it now, but one day you will look back and thank God for leading you the way He did.

The God who began the journey with you is faithful enough to bring it to a successful end. Never conclude that God loves someone else more you because their testimony came sooner or through a different route. God’s love is not measured by speed. His love is measured by His faithfulness.

The same God who is leading one person through one method may be leading another through adoption, IVF, surrogacy, or a season of waiting. Every testimony has a purpose, and every journey has a lesson. The key is to remain sensitive to His voice.

Pray, seek counsel, study His Word, and allow Him to direct your steps.  Please do not allow fear, impatience, or comparison to make decisions for you. Let God lead. Let God guide. Let God choose the route. The journey may not look like what you ‘ve expected in your marriage, but if God is leading you, it will take you exactly where you need to be.

When your story is finally complete, you will understand why God did not allow certain doors to open and why He led you through certain paths. Until then, trust Him. The God who holds your future has never made a mistake, and He will not start with you.

At the end of the day, what matters most is not how the miracle arrived but that God finally fulfilled His word in your life. Years from now, people may celebrate the testimony, but only you and God will know the journey it took to get there.

Therefore, trust His wisdom, embrace His timing, and follow His direction. The God who started your story is faithful enough to finish it.
