Dangers of Marrying the Wrong Person

Introduction

Marriage is one of the most important decisions a person will ever make in life. God designed marriage to be a source of companionship, support, comfort, and spiritual growth. God does not want us to yoke with people that will mess up our life.

To get married to the right person that aligns with God’s purpose for your life, you must be watchful and prayerful. You must pay attention to everything both in the spirit and physical. A person who claim to love may have other interior motive.

Therefore, before you enter a relationship, you must find out necessary things you need to know about him or her. If you are prayerful person, God will be revealing these signs to you early. The danger of bad marriage can expose one to restlessness, delay, stagnation, pain, sickness etc.

Marriage is one time. God’s warning is the critical thing to save one from bad marriage. When a person ignores God’s guidance and follows only emotions, physical attraction, or under family pressure, the consequences can be devastating.

These consequences can be avoided if you allow God lead you. Getting married to the wrong partner can trap a person’s destiny and can bring stumbling block to one’s spiritual life, hinder your progress, distract you, and even shorten one’s lifespan through constant stress, conflict, and emotional pain.

Before entering marriage, it is important to seek God’s direction, examine a person’s character, observe their relationship with God, and pray for discernment. It is true that not everything that glitter is gold. You must carryout an enquiry before getting married to the person.

Gone are the days when people used to get married because of beauty but now people are more intentional. People who understands the implication of bad marriage will take time to pray without rushing into it. They know that wrong marriage can shatter the life and destiny of a person.

The danger of marrying the wrong person has proven to be much. A lot of people are controlled by manipulated love. Many have allowed their emotion push them to marry wrongly.  Someone may be in a relationship that appears to be peaceful, but God did not approve it.

There are some people that will make sure they hide certain things or information. Unless you investigate it, you may find yourself in trouble.  The mistake many people have made in marriage has ruined their destiny. Some people keep fixing things that are not problematic in marriage.

A man will hate a woman, or woman will not like the man, but both of them will disguised that feeling and continue the relationship. If God show you red flags in that relationship and you ignore it, you are the one to face the consequences.

Some people are already trapped in that affair. They tried to break up, they can’t. They struggle to love the person where joy and connection are no more. You can’t give what you don’t have. If you fail to make that hard decision, you may face the consequences in marriage.

If you are already in a marriage and find yourself regretting ever marrying that person, you must be careful not to allow regret to consume your heart. Remember that regret alone cannot solve marital problems. What will help is seeking God’s direction, making wise decisions, and taking the necessary steps toward healing and restoration where possible.

As long as there is life, God can bring hope into that marital situations. Take your burdens to the Lord and ask Him to show you the path forward. As you take the following prayers, ask God for mercy wherever you may have made mistakes in your marital decisions.

Pray that every consequence of wrong choices that is troubling your life will be subdued by the power of God. If you are already married and facing difficulties, ask the Lord to heal every wound, restore peace, and give you the wisdom to handle your situation according to His will.
