Mercy of God Speak In My Marriage

Are you trusting God for His mercies in your marriage? Are you currently tired of the battles and challenges faced in your marriage? Have you thought of taking decision outside of God’s Will?

Are the problems in your life looks insurmountable? In what areas of your marriage do you want God to show you mercy on? Is it in the area of finance, childbearing? secret sins or spiritual matters? Worry not, the problem that makes you search for the mercy of God will definitely receive answers from God.

Before Adam was created, God had already provided everything for them. He blessed man and gave them dominion and commanded them to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion over it. Then the devil entered and deceived Adam and Eve. The devil lied to them and they fell for his lies.

It was very unfortunate that Adam and Eve messed up the divine arrangement for them in their marriage. God gave them beautiful marriage. God had good plans for them. He gave them all the riches of this world. God had warned them of the two kinds of fruits in the garden – The good and the bad, warning them not to eat the forbidden fruit and by eating it, they will surely die.

They disobeyed the voice of God, and allowed the devil to deceive them. They faced the consequences of their sin. They were naked, disgraced and chased out of their marriages. God still show them mercy by clothing them. (Gen 3:22-24).

Just like Adam and Eve, you will be surprised how many people are hiding from God. Running away because they see Him as a terror, looking for them to kill. Waiting for you to just slip a little bit and you are dead. Now look at what God did. Adam and Eve messed up! They blew it! They messed up His agenda.

Surely, they deserved to be thrown into the gallows. But Mercy reached out to them! Mercy covered them. “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.” (Genesis 3:21 KJV).

Mercy of God is called comapassion, pity, pardon or lovingkindness. Mercy of God is very important in marriages. God’s mercy can save marriages from destruction. It can remove affliction in marriage. It can bring a new beginning. Without the mercy of God, many marriages will collapse and die. Mercy of God ensures that you do not get the judgement or punishment you deserve in the marriage. Mercy of God will wipe away your tears in your marriage.

Mercy of God will give you a second chance despite your sin, mistakes and ignorance. God has a right to give or not to release His mercies to some people in their marriages. The reason is best known to Him. That’s why some people have yet to receive God’s mercy in their marriage. When God refuses to show you mercy in your marriage, the problem lingers on for too long. No matter how you begged for it or cried for it, it may still not come; You cannot cajole God to be merciful to you. He will show you mercy if he wants to.

2 Samuel 7: 12- 16

“When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”

This was God talking to David, striking a covenant with him. In that verse 15, God said, my mercy shall not depart from him as I took it from Saul. That’s why even in all that Solomon did and erred against God, God remembered His covenant of mercy and what He said that-His mercy will not depart from him like it departed from Saul.

If we were to judge, humanly speaking, whose sin was worse? Saul or Solomon? But it’s God’s right. And if He has decided to show you His mercy, then it will not fail. His compassion fails not. They are new every morning. And you know the morning is the break of a new day so his compassion is new everyday.

When the mercy of God show up in your marriage, that thing that makes you cry will lead to joy. That thing that brings shame to you will turn to testimony. When the mercy of God is released upon you, all your problems will expire and joy will override it. Whatever is the challenge in your marriage right now, the mercy of God will prevail over it, in the name of Jesus.

In Psalm 51, David pleads for God’s mercy in his sin. He sang unto the Lord for his mercy. No wonder the Bible says in Psalm 51:11, cast me not away from thy presence O Lord and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation, And renew right spirit within me.

The mercy of God can pardon your sin and erase your shame and reproach. Many this mistake: Maybe before you got married, God had warned you several times not to loud your marriage, have sex during your courtship, or cheat on your partner. Maybe God had warned you not to abort the pregnancy you got during your relationship, but unfortunately you did it!

When you got into marriage, God told you not to cheat on your partner and by doing so, you will regret it. Maybe you were warned not to marry that man or woman. Even the Holy Spirit also warned you too but you disobeyed Him and do what pleases you. Now you are regretting your decision in marriage.

In 1 Samuel 15:10-11, NLT says, Then the Lord said to Samuel, I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command. Smaule was so deeply moved when he heard this that he cried out to the Lord all night.

A man that was enjoying the mercy of God, all of a sudden, God rejected the man for his pride and arrogancy. Saul is a strong prayer warrior and has seen used his calling to destroyed the Amalekites.

Mercy of God does is that it triumphs over judgement. Jonah had disobeyed God and a whale had swallowed him. For three days and three nights, he faced the judgement. But when he cried to God in repentance and for mercy, God commanded the whale to vomit him.

He had a second chance to correct his mistakes and obey God. Mercy bailed Jonah out. It triumphed over judgement for him. It was the same mercy that saved the people of Nineveh because they repented and were not destroyed when Jonah took God’s word to them.

Mercy of God will spare you and keep you from destruction. It was mercy that delivered the Israelites from 430 years of bondage. When God decided to kill all the firstborn in Egypt, the Israelites were spared.

God gave the divine strategy for their preservation. Similarly, it was mercy that Rahab obtained and she and her family were spared during the destruction of Jericho. It was mercy that also spared Peter’s life and brought him out of Herod’s incarceration.

The mercy of God is a force; when God’s mercy is coming, you will fill it if you are in the spirit. The peace of God will be the first signal to indicate that, followed by favour; if you want to enjoy the mercy of God, it is simple. Try to forgive those that have hurt you. You must do what God asks you to do (Prov 4:20-22).  You must not take His word for granted. You must be humbled and cry to God for mercy in your midnight prayers.

No matter your challenge, no matter your condition no matter what you are faced with, the Mercy of God will reach out to you. His mercies will locate you, in the name of Jesus.

Midnight Prayers (12am till your spirit asks you to stop)

Instruction

Do not eat or drink anything from 9pm to the end of your prayers. Get a bottle of anointing oil or water for tonight prayers. After it, drink and sprinkle it in every corner of your house.

Take the following short prayers aggressively.

• Holy Ghost fire, destroy every stubborn agaent of darkness in my marriage, in the name of Jesus.
• Father, let my prayers begin to attract the power of Your great mercy in my marriage, in the name of Jesus.
• Oh mercy of God, look in my direction and show me the way, in the name of Jesus.
• Anything programmed by the devil to frustrate me in my marriage, I cast it out, in the name of Jesus.
• Every power from my in-law’s side working against my marital destiny, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
• Any storm in my marriage, O Lord, grant me wisdom to overcome it, in the name of Jesus.
• Father, do not cast me away from Your presence and take not thy Holy Spirit and restore unto me the joy of my salvation and renew right spirit within me.

Confession 1:

Psalm 51:1-4,
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Psalm 51:10-11,

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Confession 2:

Psalm 23:6, Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 25:6-7,  Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.

1. Father, I need Your intervention in my marriage, show me mercy and forgiveness of my sin, in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, visit my marriage with your mercy and forgive us of our shortcomings and wrongdoings, in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, we are tired of the valley. By Your great mercy, restore our blessings lost in our marriage due to our sin, mistakes and carelessness, in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, show Your mercy in our marriage and forgive us of our sin of disobedience, in the name of Jesus.
5. By Your mercy, O Lord, show us the areas of our sin and grant us the grace to overcome it, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, by Your mercy, terminate this battles and problems in my marriage, in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, forgive us of our sins and remove every attack of the wicked in our marriage, in the name of Jesus.
8. By the grace of God, my marriage shall not end up in shame and failure, in the name of Jesus.
9. O God, let Your mercy and grace defeat every evil works in our marriage and give us peace in our home, in the name of Jesus.
10. Father; I confess and forsake my sin, please, Lord let me obtain mercy and forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. Prov 28:3.
11. Father; at every instance I have lost Your mercy, please Lord, forgive me and restore your mercy back into my marriage, in the name of Jesus.
12. Father, we ask for your mercies over every error we have committed in our marriage and forgive us, in the name of Jesus.
13. Lord, let Your mercy continue to uphold and sustain me in my marriage, in the name of Jesus.
14. Father, if there is anything we have done in the past or presently that is not encouraging you to help us, let Your speak, O Lord.
15. Father; by Your mercy and grace, let my marriage aligned to the covenant you have established with us. Save my marriage from destruction.
16. O Lord, let Your goodness and mercy follow our marriage all the days of our life, in the name of Jesus.
17. Father; please by Your mercy, destroy the yoke and stop the storm attacking us in our marriage, in the name of Jesus.
18. Father; please continue to strengthen us and empower us to overcome our marital challenges, in the name of Jesus.
19. Remember us O Lord in our marriage, arise and rescue us from these battles and attacks, in the name of Jesus.
20. Father, please satisfy my family with Your mercy so that we may rejoice
    and be glad all the days of our lives, in the name of Jesus. Psa 90:14.
21. Father, by Your great mercy, erase the consequences of our sin and show Your lovingkindness, in the name of Jesus.
22. Lord Jesus, please come into my marriage and perfect everything that concern us, in the name of Jesus.
23. Father, let our marriage show forth Your glory continuously, in the name of Jesus.
24. My Father, by Your mercy, forgive our past life and make your face shine upon us, in the name of Jesus.
25. By the power in the blood of Jesus, my marriage shall rise above the challenges attacking it, in the name of Jesus.
26. O God of mercy, speak to my heart and remove the spirit of sin from me, in the name of Jesus.
27. Father, have mercy upon our marriage and uproot every plant you have not planted, in the name of Jesus.
28. Father, have mercy and restore back the lost glory of our marriage, in the name of Jesus.
29. O God, let Your mercy triumph over judgement in my life, in the name of Jesus.
30. Father, send Your mercy to my household as You did for Obed-Edom, in the name of Jesus.
31. O Lord, redeem my marriage from every evil covenant attacking us, in the name of Jesus.
32. O Lord, let all those who have gathered to mock me begin to celebrate with me, in the name of Jesus.
33. Father, turn every point of sadness in my marital life to joy, in the name of Jesus.
34. O Lord, by Your mercy, restore every good thing I have lost in the past to me, in the name of Jesus.
35. Holy Spirit fill my home with joy, happiness, peace and celebration, in the name of Jesus.
36. Father, let Your light shine upon the heart of my marriage and release us from the troubles of life, in the name of Jesus.
37. Every appointment my marriage is having with sickness, death, loss, poverty and setback, I cancel it by the blood of Jesus.
38. Father, give us the opportunity to partake of your blessings, in the name of Jesus.
39. Father, in Your mercy, move in your power and convert every delay in our life to our progress, in the name of Jesus.
40. Any arrow of the devil fired into my marriage, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
41. Let the blood of Jesus clear away the evil cloud covering the heaven of my marriage, in the name of Jesus.
42. I command the evil spirit operating in my hometo be destroyed, in the name of Jesus.
43. Father, arise, save and protect the glory of my marriage from being attacked, in the name of Jesus.
44. Every evil mark fighting good things in my marriage, leave my marriage alone, in the name of Jesus.
45. Divine rain of mercy, be released upon the soul of my marriage, in the name of Jesus.
46. The aggression of darkness against my marriage cease, in the name of Jesus.
47. Every power re-establishing any curse and evil covenant in my marriage, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
48. Any difficult problem assigned to swallow my marital glory, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
49. Ask God in 5 minutes what you want him to do for you.
