Who are you? what’s your purpose? Why are you here in this world? What’s vision? What’s your mission? What’s your place and what’s your relevance in this world? Are you living to impress people? Are you living to oppress people? Is your life dictated by those around you – your mate in primary school. Your friends in secondary school. All your friends in the university where are they today? All the choices and decisions you made to impress them and oppress them. How relevant are those choices today. You need to think about your life and reconsider the way you’re living. Are you living for purpose or living for people.
Everytime you make up your life to make a decision, are you living to impress somebody or oppress somebody because you are in charge? A good life is a life that’s live for purpose. You must know exactly why you are here in this world. What you need to be doing at this time and at this age. Of course, you don’t have all the time in the world. Your days are going. Your clock is ticking! And for how long will you keep living for people. For how long will you keep moving round the circle. It is time to make up your life as an individual to understand your vision, to understand your purpose, to understand your mission and begin to chase it right now. If you don’t have a clear purpose of what you are here in this world, with no time, you begin to fall into other people’s vision. You begin to help them achieve their purpose. If you chase two rabbits in the bush you ‘ll end up catching none. Think about what you are created for, what God made you to be. Stop running helter skelter like someone who came to this world in confusion. January has gone, February has gone; September 2015 has gone forever and forever. If your life is still the same since January and now. If you are still living with the same set of people without any positive impact in your life, you are wasting your time.
Yes, it is easy to live a life that cares about others and willing to help others. If your life is dictated by the impression you live on people, you begin to miss it right from the very beginning. I want to challenge you today to make up your mind to do the right thing. Make the right choices. Live for purpose and not for people and you will see your life progressing rapidly towards fulfillment, peace and joy. David lived for purpose. Esther lived for purpose. Deborah was a woman of purpose and impact. Jesus Christ started gaining recognition by living a life of purpose (John 3:16).
