Acts 20:17-38; Isaiah 50:7
One of the things that helped Paul to fulfill his destiny was the power of focus. Focus helps you to direct the energy of your life for higher impact. If you are focused in life you can’t fail, because you must have made up your mind never to change from what you have perceived to be the will of God for your life. A focused man does not do trial and error, he sticks to the will of God whether it is convenient or not. He keeps going when the road is tough. He never relaxes even when the road was easy because of focus.
Seasons do not change a man of focus. He will be the same in all seasons. Paul exhibited the power of focus and he became a member of God’s first team. Focus is exceptionally important for you if you want to be among the first team in life. Be bound to your purpose on the earth so that no matter what happens or not, you are not going to look back. Get to a point that going back is not an option; a point that the spirit of quitting loses its hold on your life. Have a focus that cannot be broken by men, devil or angels. Look at the life of Paul the Apostle for example; despite people’s opinion about where he wanted to go, he kept going. He was aware of the afflictions that awaited him but he was focused. God will always be with a man that has focus in God’s purpose for him.
One major weapon of the devil against God’s people is broken focus through distractions. When your focus is broken, your energy is spent in many directions with nothing significant achievement. Distraction is anything that has power (directly or indirectly) to snatch away what is truly yours in life. Whatever can move you from your place in God, is a distraction. Distractions can come in negative or positive form and that is why you have to be careful of any form of distraction.
Distractions may show up in a negative form, but your ability to recognize them is a major compass to your destiny in life.
Ask yourself, what are the things that are currently moving you? Anything taking your attention from the things of your purpose is a distraction. It can be a little success that you have in what you are doing that you are celebrating which finally takes you from the original reason why you are on the earth. Beloved, distraction is dangerous, it is of the devil. For example a little baby can abandon a bar of gold if you give him toys that look attractive. Don’t let the devil distract you from the GOLD of your destiny by giving you toys. Avoid distraction, stay focused on what you know is the purpose of God for you and it shall be well with you in Jesus name.
