When You Lie To People
Hosea 4:6 says, ”My people are destroyed (hell) for lack of knowledge.”
John 14:6, ”The Bible says, Jesus is the way the truth and the life,no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Proverbs 19:9, “A false witness shall not be unpunished, and [he that] speaketh lies shall perish.”

Whether you are a born again Christian or not, once you are a liar, you become a sinner. There is no small or big lie. The Bible says for the wages of sin is death. Every sinner is eligible to punishment according to his or her proportion of sin. We do whatever we choose to do in order to make ourselves happy. We frame up lie in order to cover up the truth. Truth is a very formidable factor. Every sinner must its fruit thereof.
God will never support a liar whether you are a born again Christian or not. Whether you are at the point of death of not. If you hate the truth, you Invariably hate God. If you don’t want people to say the truth whenever there is a case before you, and in order not to expose you, be rest assured that the truth will resurrect and deal with you openly.
The Bible says should we continue in sin that grace may abound, God forbid.
Your life must meet God’s standard before He can take you as His children.
Truth is God’s habitation. It is the place where the word of God transcends His light to the world. The Bible says, don’t be deceived, whatever a man soweth, he shall surely reap bountifully.
For example, If you lie to secure a good job today, do not be surprised that job may not last. If you lie to get to that position today, it is clear that such lie will never take you anywhere in life. Â What people do not understand is this: lie is a very strong spirit.

”Where are you? I am in USA whereas they are in Lagos. Maybe you see them talking to each other. Where do you work? I am working in a bank whereas the person is seriously looking for a job
Lie can never profit you. It may profit you to a certain level, but tomorrow it will steal something precious from you.
One cannot access the treasure base of heaven when you are a liar. One cannot receive the raw power of God when Heavens has labelled you as one of those liars.
What happens to Judas Iscariot? He’s a hater of the truth gospel.
Many people have problem with lie. Such people finds it hard to repent. If possible, they repent today, but within a shortest period, you will see them switching back to that lie. Until a person totally repent from his sin, he will continue to have problem with God.
One of the reasons God is not even answering the prayers of many today is because heaven has already know them as a bunch of liar. Such people may be born again, or not, but once he cannot do without lying to people, the Bible says, heaven will remove their attention away from them.
Characteristics of liars
- They lie to marry
- They lie to dupe people
- They lie to do business
- They lie to cover their weaknesses
- They lie to keep or hide their secret sins
- They lie to deceive people
- They lie to gain promotion
- They lie in the church
- They lie in the presence of God
- They lie to do evil
- They lie against people
- They lie to date
- They lie to sustain marriage
- They lie against the word of God
- They lie to travel
- They lie to fornicate
How can someone who’s in a church be lying to his friend over the phone that he is in the restaurant? How can someone be compelled to forge his Curriculum Vitae (C.V) and lie to the interviewer that he has many work experiences? How can someone lie that he or she is an importer and exporter. How can a man and a woman be deceiving themselves in a relationship that is full of lies? How can a man of God be seeing fake visions concerning marital proposal of man and woman?
Brethren, God hate lying people. He’s even afraid to handover his blessings and glory to such people. It’s a common practice among young ones today.
For example, a student will call his parents, daddy I need to pay for school fees . he would lie to his parents constructively that the school fees is a certain amount of money but when you move closer, you will discover that he just lie to his parents to use the money to mess up around.
Problems everywhere. Unanswered prayers on the prowl. How can God just finish talking to someone only for the person to tell other people what God did not tell him. The Bible says, repent from that sin before it condemns you in hell fire.
Being a rich person, pastor, does not escape you from this type of sin. If you lie, you are going to hell fire. The Lords standard is holy.
It is either you refrain from lying lip than to use that same amount to ask for things from God. People just deceived themselves in the name of religious. Salvation is a personal race. If the trumpet should meet you in this sin, you are going to hell
Someone would just wake up one morning and declare that he saw a vision of 300 people that would die in a nation. Once you are a liar, you are responsible for the delay of your breakthrough, not even your witches and wizards of your father’s house can deliver you from this sin.
Proverbs 12:22 , Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly [are] his delight.
He goes: Hello dear, have you aborted pregnancy in your past? She will tell you that she has not touch her belly let alone of aborting it. The innocent brother would propose and only to discover that the lady has aborted 3 babies.
Some people are not just conscious of sin anymore. They live life as though the earth belongs to them and their family. But the moment you are living a sinful life, you will receive a new status of failure and a slot to  hell fire.
It is clear  that many people  that are truthful are called the children of God. When a person determines to stay away from lie, such person may receive his or her major blessings.
Heaven is real. Hell fire is real. If the trumpet sound today, are you ready? Are you among of other Christians that uses lies to do wickedness? Repent now for the kingdom of God is at hand.
PRAYER POINTS
- My Father, I repent from the sin of lies, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, have mercy on me and forgive me of my sins today, in Jesus name
- Lying tongues, I cut you off by the blood of Jesus.
- Spirit of truth take control of my life, in the name of Jesus
- Whatever the spirit of lying has destroyed in my life, I repair it by the mercy of God
- O Lord, keep me away from lies, in the name of Jesus.
- I reject the spirit of lie. I embrace truth in my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus wash my lips throughly by the blood of Jesus.
- I claim the truth in the word of God
- O Lord teach me how to say the truth, in the name of Jesus
- My heart be opened for salvation and brokenness, in the name of Jesus.
- O God deliver me from the bondage of lying, in the name of Jesus
- O Lord, reset my christian life, in the name of Jesus.
- Â i refuse to use lies as a means of cover up the truth, in the name of Jesus.
- I blot away every handwritten of sin in my life, in the name of Jesus.
- You sin, you shall not take me to hell, in the name of Jesus.
