DAY 31: A CRY AGAINST THE ARROWS OF THE WICKED

Psalm 51:1-2

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.  Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Mark 10:9

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Psalm 35:1-3

Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

Isaiah 43:18-19

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

INTRODUCTION

Marriage is a divine covenant, established by God to bring a man and a woman together according to His purpose and prophetic design. From the beginning, God’s agenda for marriage has been multiplication, fruitfulness, the replenishing of the earth, and dominion.

Beyond this, God desires that couples enjoy His blessings, living in joy, peace, good health, longevity, and fulfillment. Marriage was never designed to be a place of constant pain, confusion, or sorrow, but a channel through which God’s goodness is revealed and enjoyed.

Because of these great blessings, the devil has never been comfortable with godly marriages. His assignment has always been to steal, attack, and deny couples access to what God has ordained for them. Wherever there is restoration, there has first been loss.

If you are married or in a relationship and you notice that joy, peace, emotional strength, or spiritual vitality has been drained, it is a sign that God is stepping in to restore you by the power of His mercy.

Any relationship or marriage that becomes governed by sin, compromise, or satanic influence automatically comes under attack. When the enemy wants to strike a marriage, he targets the source of its blessing. Once darkness covers a home, the presence of God begins to withdraw, and where God’s presence is absent, joy fades, peace disappears, and confusion takes over.

A marriage is in need of restoration when joy is no longer present, when the atmosphere of God’s presence has departed from the home, and when persistent trouble has replaced peace. Restoration is also needed when fear, insecurity, unresolved conflicts, and emotional distance become normal, and when bad dreams and spiritual disturbances increase in frequency. These are signals that something precious is under attack and needs divine intervention.

The mercy you seek for your marriage begins with personal repentance and humility before God. When you cry out for restoration, you are asking God to lift the burdens from your home and replace them with peace, order, and healing.

The mercy of God is powerful enough to reverse every damage done to a marriage, no matter how long it has lasted or how deep the wounds may be. When God steps into a home by mercy, He does not only repair what is broken; He renews strength, restores love, and rebuilds trust.

What human effort could not fix, divine mercy corrects effortlessly. Mercy speaks where accusations are loud, and it brings healing where words have failed. As you seek God’s mercy, He will remove every garment of heaviness, silence the voice of accusation, and restore laughter into your home.

Your marriage will no longer be a battlefield but a place of refuge, peace, and strength. As this season of fasting and prayer comes to an end, trust that God is working behind the scenes to give you your last minute miracle. He is rewriting stories, mending broken walls, and restoring what the enemy thought was permanently lost.

Your home shall experience divine visitation, your marriage shall testify of God’s goodness, and joy shall return in full measure. By the mercy of God, what was attacked will be restored, what was delayed will be released, and your marriage will stand strong to the glory of God.

As we engage in this season of fasting and prayer, may the God of mercy arise, remember you, and show you favour. Though the enemy may be rejoicing over your losses, the Lord will restore your marriage, remove shame and struggle, and replace them with joy, strength, and lasting peace.

CONFESSION

I boldly declare that my marriage is ordained and established by God, and therefore no weapon fashioned against it shall prosper. By Your great and unfailing mercy, O Lord, visit my marriage today and restore everything that has been damaged, delayed, weakened, or broken whether seen or unseen.

Let Your mercy rewrite every negative story and heal every wound in my home. I consciously renounce and let go of pride, bitterness, anger, resentment, and unforgiveness. I receive fresh grace to love sincerely, to forgive freely, to communicate with wisdom, and to walk in humility and understanding.

By the mercy of God, my heart is softened, my words are seasoned with grace, and my actions reflect love and patience. I declare that my marriage shall not collapse, scatter, or end in shame. It shall stand strong, be revived, and be fully restored by the hand of God.

Peace, unity, and divine order shall reign in my home. By the mercy of God, my marriage becomes a testimony of restoration, healing, and lasting joy, in the mighty name of Jesus

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

Spend 5-10 Minutes. Begin by thanking God specifically for His mercies over your marriage. Don’t wait until you SEE the restoration to thank Him, thank Him NOW by faith!

Thank God for:

  • The divine establishment of your marriage covenant
  • Every good memory and blessed moment you’ve shared
  • The children or blessings that came from your union
  • His faithfulness even when you or your spouse were unfaithful
  • His patience and long-suffering with both of you
  • His promise to restore what the enemy has stolen
  • The testimony that is being prepared through this trial
  • Your spouse’s life, health, and safety even in this season
  • The prayers He has already answered (even the small ones)
  • The miracle of restoration that is manifesting right now

HYMN  – Praise Him, Praise Him Jesus Our Blessed Redeemer

1 Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!

Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim!

Hail Him, hail Him! Highest angels in glory!

Strength and honor give to His holy name!

Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard his children.

In His arms He carries them all day long.

O ye saints that dwell on the mountain of zion

Praise Him! praise Him!

Ever in joyful song!

2 Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,

For our sins He suffered and bled and died;

He, our Rock, our Hope of eternal salvation,

Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus, the Crucified;

Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,

Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;

Once for us rejected, despised, and forsaken,

Prince of Glory, ever triumphant now.

3 Praise Him! praise Him!

Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,

Heav’nly portals, loud with hosannas ring!

Jesus, Savior, reigneth for ever and ever;

Crown Him! crown Him! Prophet and Priest and King!

Death is vanquished! Tell it with joy, ye faithful,

Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?

Jesus lives! No longer thy portals are cheerless;

Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.

PRAYER ASSIGNMENT

Special Instructions

  1. If you have access to your spouse: Invite them to pray together, even if brief. The prayer of agreement is powerful. If they refuse, continue praying alone, your faith is sufficient.
  2. Anointing Oil: Use olive oil or any consecrated oil. Apply it to your forehead while declaring: “As I anoint myself with oil, let the Holy Spirit anoint my marriage with restoration, healing, and divine intervention in Jesus’ name.”
  3. Prayer for Your Spouse: Mention your spouse by their full name in prayer. Speak blessings, not complaints. Intercede for them as though you’re standing between them and destruction. Your prayers are building a hedge of protection around them.
  4. The Love Chapter (1 Corinthians 13): Don’t just read it, PRAY it. For example: “Lord, help ME to be patient and kind with [spouse’s name]. Help ME not to be jealous, boastful, or proud. Help ME not to keep records of wrongs against [spouse’s name].”
  5. Physical Preparation: Prepare your home for reconciliation, clean, organize, remove any items connected to strife or conflict. Create an atmosphere that invites restoration.
