FAMILY CURSE MUST BE BROKEN

2 Kings 5:25-27 says, But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither. And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
There is something that steals God’s blessing quietly. There is a spirit that makes people to suffer. There is a demon that makes people to blame themselves for ever coming from a family. That thing is what the Bible calls curse. Curse has caged so many people. We see people under a family curse. There is a curse in our marriage. There is a curse in our job, curse in our business, anointing and finances. Most people have been crying to escape themselves out from this family curse. Family curse is a terrible affliction. Whatever did not allow you to fulfil your destiny defeat your dreams. The reason many remain where they are today is because of curses.
Many people experience hardship of all sorts because there is a curse upon their head. Some curses are from the idols, some are from ancestors, some curses are generational. Some family or homes are under the curse of God. Some ancestral powers have laid an embargo upon a certain family and this will affect the life of the offspring. Sometimes, some people breaks an evil altar without proper power and revelation from God hence they receive generational curse. When you come from a cursed family, it will affect you. When you do a business or try to succeed among your family, the curse will meet you there. In some families, there is a curse of sickness. Some people normally fall sick monthly. This family curse has a long life-span. Its power transcends several generations as long as the covenants are still in place. Whereas in some families, it is struggling to get married, struggling to become great, struggling to eat. Everything about that family is cursed to struggle under poverty and hardship.
I am writing this sermon out of desperation in my spirit. Do you know that someone might have money and still be suffering? Many of God’s children are battling with this stubborn CHAIN of the enemy silently. Breaking a family curse cannot be done by a person but by a collective of family coming together in agreement. The mistake of many Christian is that: they go to church to conduct personal deliverance from a family bondage. It’s better to call your families for it.
Abraham is a good example of someone whose destiny was tied down by the idolatry curse of his father’s house. His father was a stubborn idol worshipper. At the age of seventy-five, Abraham was still living in his father’s house and barren. This means that Abraham has been under a family curse for many years. What happened? God appeared to Abraham and said ‘I have a sevenfold blessing for you’. and He began to reveal his plans and promises for Abraham. God assured Abraham that these sevenfold blessings will be his only condition that he got out of his father’s house (Cursed house), country, kindred etc. The curse and stubborn idol power in the life of Abraham was completely arrested and defeated. What Abraham could not achieve for 75 years when he lived his father, he got it in a few years. Whether you are aware of these curses or not, their efficacy persists until you come to the realisation of their existence and deal with them by the power in the name of Jesus
It is time to pray that curse holding all the people in your family, God should uproot and break them to pieces. It is time for us to pray that the fire of God should destroy any person responsible for the bondage and affliction in your family. It is time to release the fire of God on any destiny whose destiny have been tied down in the spirit realm as a result of generational curse. It is time to issue the curse of God upon the works of the enemy. Enemy attacks you in particular because of the essential information they could gather about you. The power downloading your information to the enemy shall scatter.
SELF-EXAMINATION:
Brethren, we need to identify these curses and sincerely ask God for forgiveness and mercy from the Almighty God. You need to destroy these curses and release yourself from all kinds of curses issued against you. Before you can break these curses, it is time for you to surrender your life to Jesus. Have you confessed your sin wholeheartedly to God? Do it now. Have forgiven yourself and others? Do it now. Are you obedient to God and his word? Do it now. Replace all curses to blessings. Begin to break evil soul tie and link to foundational powers. Live a holy life.
