The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The New Year is not just a change in the calendar; it is a prophetic gate. Every year opens in the realm of the spirit before it manifests in the natural. A man who enters the New Year casually may live casually, but a man who enters it prophetically will live prophetically. This is why the Bible says in Psalm 24:7, “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.”

The entrance of a new year is a gate. Gates control access, and whoever controls the gate controls what enters and what stays out. If the King of Glory does not enter your New Year with you, then battles may enter. But if God enters before you, He will close the gates of evil and open the gates of blessing.

The New Year is a womb; it carries possibilities, promises, instructions, warfare, blessings, and expectations. Everything that will happen within the year is hidden in its womb. If you do not speak to the womb of the year, the year will not speak favourably to you. The New Year waits for the voice of the righteous to shape it.

Your utterance becomes your atmosphere. Your declarations become your direction. Your decisions become your destiny. God did not create a silent world; He created a world shaped by words. Therefore, no believer should enter the New Year quietly. You must speak into it. You must command it. You must declare what you want to see, because heaven responds to the sound of prophetic utterance.

The New Year is also a season of separation. God does not step into new seasons with old weights. Any weight that followed you from the previous year, if not confronted, will delay you in the new year. The children of Israel arrived at the border of Canaan, but Egypt was still in their hearts.

God had to deal with their mentality before He opened the land before them. A new season requires a new mindset. You cannot carry the bitterness, fear, procrastination, weakness, and spiritual laziness of the past year into the new year and expect a different result. The Holy Ghost calls you to drop the weight and pick up fresh fire. To walk in the newness of the year, you must let the Holy Ghost refresh your spirit, renew your mind, and revive your prayer altar.

Every New Year comes with new battles. The devil is a programmer. He programs afflictions, tragedies, setbacks, and disappointments into dates, months, and seasons. That is why Psalm 91 speaks about “the terror by night,” “the arrow that flieth by day,” “the destruction that wasteth at noonday,” and “the pestilence that walketh in darkness.”

These are time-based attacks. The enemy attacks seasons. If you don’t command your seasons, your seasons may command you. For some people, the enemy programmed sickness. For some, stagnation. For some, marital delay. For some, bad luck. But the Bible declares that “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel.” When a child of God enters the New Year with spiritual preparation, no divination of darkness can prevail.

The New Year is an opportunity for divine realignment. Many people drifted spiritually in the previous year. Their prayer altar went cold. Their discernment weakened. Their hunger for God was replaced by activities and stress. Yet God’s mercy has opened a new season as another chance to return to the place of fire.

A believer who enters the New Year without an altar of prayer is like a man travelling without fuel. The New Year demands fresh consecration. It calls you to rebuild your altar. It calls you to return to intimacy. It calls you to walk with God closely and intentionally.

The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31, “They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength.” Strength for the New Year is not stored; it must be renewed. Prayer renews strength. Worship renews strength. The Word renews strength. Spiritual discipline renews strength. Only renewed strength can carry you through renewed seasons.

The New Year also carries the voice of divine instructions. No destiny rises without instruction. God gives instructions at the beginning of seasons because His direction is what preserves you in the journey. When God wanted to lift Isaac in a famine, He gave him an instruction.

When He wanted to move Israel out of bondage, He gave Moses an instruction. When He wanted to bless the widow of Zarephath, He gave a prophetic instruction. Any believer who ignores divine instruction will suffer unnecessary frustration. The New Year is not only about prayers; it is also about spiritual sensitivity. God will speak. God will direct. God will warn. God will reveal. God will tell you what to start, what to stop, where to sow, where to go, and who to disconnect from. One instruction can change the entire year.

A new year demands new obedience. Many people pray but do not obey. They declare but never follow through. They prophesy but refuse to act. Faith without works is dead. If the Holy Spirit placed an assignment in your heart last year and you abandoned it, the New Year is a call to responsibility. Heaven rewards faithfulness.

God honours commitment. Your next breakthrough may be tied to an instruction you ignored. The New Year is a spiritual checkpoint to evaluate your obedience level.

But the New Year is also a place of fresh mercy. God does not consult your past to determine your future. The mistakes, errors, weaknesses, and failures of the previous year do not disqualify you from divine mercy. As long as you are alive, favour can rewrite your story. Grace can reposition you.

Mercy can lift you. God specializes in giving His children new beginnings. You may have waited long, prayed long, suffered long, cried long, but the New Year is proof that God is not done with you. His compassion fails not; they are new every morning. If His mercies are new every morning, then His mercies are even more abundant in a new year.

The New Year carries the fragrance of prophetic opportunities. You are stepping into a year where God is already present. He has gone ahead of you. He has cleared obstacles. He has prepared open doors. He has arranged helpers. He has programmed breakthroughs.

The Bible says, “I will go before you and make the crooked places straight.” When God walks ahead, your journey becomes easy. When God leads, your steps become precise. When God guides, your year becomes productive. The greatest blessing of the New Year is not wealth, success, or opportunities; it is God Himself. If God is with you, the year will bow in your favour.

Therefore, enter this New Year with confidence. Enter with boldness. Enter with faith. Enter with expectation. Reject fear. Reject worry. Reject the lies of the enemy. Refuse to repeat old patterns. Step into the year with the understanding that you are not alone; the God who kept you in the previous year is the same God who will carry you through this year.

Speak life into your year. Command the gates to open. Declare favour over your days. Release angels into your months. Submit your plans to God. Dedicate your home, your job, your ministry, your business, your marriage, and your children to God.

The New Year is pregnant with miracles. It is loaded with possibilities. It is filled with divine surprises. You are stepping into a year that will not swallow your destiny. You are stepping into a year where your prayers will be answered. You are stepping into a year where you will rise. You are stepping into a year where you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. The God who preserved you will prosper you. The God who lifted you will establish you. The God who carried you will perfect all that concerns you.

This New Year shall favour you. In this New Year, you will not fail. You will not fall. You will not be disgraced. You will not be defeated. You will not be cut down before your time. You will not be disappointed at the edge of breakthrough.

You will not mourn. You will not be sorrowful. You will not bury your blessings. You are stepping into a New Year of divine increase, divine lifting, divine mercy, divine favour, divine speed, divine protection, and divine restoration. And the name of the Lord will be glorified in your life.

I decree: No witch in my father’s house, no wizard in my mother’s house, no household enemy, no marine spirit, no occult personality will succeed this year. Their evil meetings catch fire. Let only the voice of favour, blessings, settlement, and good news speak for me this year. This year, the voice of God will dominate every situation in my life.

103.  O God of Heaven, disconnect me from any person, relationship, environment, or connection that will waste my time this year. Cut me off from dream killers, destiny destroyers, emotional parasites, and spiritual siphoners. Connect me to the right people of destiny. This year, my relationships will push me forward, not backward.

104.  O Lord, let every demonic dust, cloud, or veil covering my star in past years clear away by fire. I decree my star must shine brighter this year. My gifts will speak, my destiny will shine, my name will enter the right ears. This year, my glory cannot be covered.

105.  Any altar, shrine, temple, river, forest, or coven where my name was taken in previous years, catch fire now! O Lord, withdraw my name, my image, my destiny from every evil register. This year, no evil altar will mention my name.

106.  O Lord, in this new year, give me the wisdom to manage success, the strength to handle breakthroughs, and the humility to remain focused. I refuse pride, error, or carelessness. This year, my testimony will not destroy me.

107.  Any dream manipulation, dream pollution, dream attack, dream swallowing, dream monitoring, or dream delay assigned against me this year, break by fire! My dream life is restored. My spiritual antenna is sharpened. This year, my dreams will guide me into victory.

145. O God, let every evil prophecy spoken over my life be cancelled by fire this year. Any negative word from family, teachers, pastors, friends, strangers, or enemies, nullify it! This year, only the word of God shall stand.

146. Any evil gathering planning trouble against me this year, scatter unto desolation! Conspiracies scatter. Wicked meetings dissolve. Satanic consultations fail. This year, no evil gathering will prosper.

151. Father, if there is any battle that will rise against me this year intending to break me, break that battle before it begins! Let problems expire before they reach my door. Let troubles scatter before they manifest. This year, no battle will overpower me.

152. Every evil mirror monitoring my life, break by fire! No spiritual CCTV will track my progress. No demonic radar will monitor my rising. This year, I am spiritually hidden under the blood of Jesus.

159. O Lord, make me a sign and a wonder this year. Let men look at my life and see the hand of God. Let everything I touch reflect Your glory. This year, I will manifest as God’s evidence.

160. O Lord, let the covenant of fruitfulness speak in my life this year. I will not be barren spiritually, financially, emotionally, academically, or maritally. This year, everything I lay my hands upon will bear fruit.

 

REMARK

As we step boldly into the year 2026, we do so with the confidence that God has already gone ahead of us. Whatever the previous years could not deliver, this year will bring forth by the mercy of God. The prayers you have declared are not empty words, they are seeds planted into the womb of the year, and they will produce a harvest of testimonies. The Lord who promised in Isaiah 45:2 to “go before you and make the crooked places straight” will guide your steps, protect your journey, and establish your breakthroughs in this new season.

Let the assurance of Lamentations 3:22–23 strengthen your heart: His mercies are new every morning. This means His mercies are also new every year. You are not entering 2026 alone; you are entering with the God who neither fails nor sleeps. As you continue to pray, declare, and walk in faith, the blessings of Psalm 121:8 shall manifest in your life, “The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

Go into this year with expectation. Go into this year with boldness. Go into this year with worship. May 2026 be your year of lifted hands, answered prayers, open doors, divine surprises, and supernatural favour. May the God who begins with you in January remain with you in December, and may your story end with testimonies that glorify His name.
