Opening Scriptures for New Month Prayers

Introduction

The beginning of a new month is a special opportunity to thank God for His faithfulness, mercy, and protection. Every new month comes with new possibilities, new challenges, and new opportunities. As believers, it is important to commit the month into God’s hands through prayer, fasting and therefore seek His guidance, direction, favour, and protection upon your life.

The Bible says in Lamentations 3:23, “Great is thy faithfulness.” God has preserved us to see another month, and we should not take His grace for granted. Prayer is the key that opens doors of blessings, destroys the plans of the enemy, and secures divine help for the days ahead.

As you pray these prayer points for the new month, ask God to go before you, remove every obstacle from your path, grant you victory over every battle, and release His blessings upon your life and family in the new season. May this new month bring divine favour, open heavens, breakthroughs, good health, peace, and testimonies in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Fasting Instruction

Begin this new month with a dedicated period of fasting and prayer for 3 days or 7 days, observing your fast from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., or 7:00 p.m., as the Lord gives you strength. Use this time to thank God for preserving your life and bringing you into a new month.

Commit every day of the month into God’s hands and ask Him to go before you, making every crooked path straight. Pray for divine protection, favour, open doors, good health, progress, and breakthroughs. Ask the Lord to let this month work in your favour and in the favour of your family.

Declare that no evil plan, setback, disappointment, or affliction shall prosper against you. Trust God to make this month a season of testimonies, divine remembrance, and uncommon blessings in Jesus’ name.

Prophetic New Month Declaration (Personalize it)

This month, the Lord shall surprise you with blessings you did not expect. Where others are rejected, you shall be accepted. Where others struggle, you shall find favour. The battles that followed you in previous months shall expire.
