DAY 33: A CRY FOR MERCY TO CANCEL UNTIMELY DEATH

Psalm 51:1-2

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.  Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Psalm 91:10-11

There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”

Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

INTRODUCTION

Untimely death is not just about physical death alone. It includes spiritual death, destiny death, and any form of termination that cuts short what God has ordained to continue. When we talk about untimely death, we are speaking of anything that silences your voice, aborts your purpose, or terminates your existence before the appointed time.

This kind of death comes to stop you from becoming what God has destined you to be. Death, as we know it, is inevitable for every human being. But there is a difference between dying at your appointed time in peace and being cut down prematurely by the schemes of darkness.

The enemy doesn’t send you an invitation letter announcing when he plans to strike. Untimely death comes unexpectedly, catching people off guard. This is why we must remain vigilant in prayer and maintain our hedge of protection through righteous living and constant communion with God.

The devil is the architect and sponsor of untimely death. He finances it, plans it, and executes it against God’s children. The Bible makes it clear in John 10:10 that the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. That is his job description. He has no good intentions toward any child of God.

Every scheme of untimely death you see operating in families, communities, or personal lives has the devil’s signature on it. He wants to terminate lives before they fulfill their divine assignments. One of the primary weapons the enemy uses to bring untimely death is sickness.

We see this clearly in the story of King Hezekiah. The Bible tells us that he became sick to the point of death. The prophet Isaiah came and told him plainly to set his house in order because he was going to die. That was a death sentence from a prophet of God. But Hezekiah refused to accept it as the final word.

He turned his face to the wall and cried out to God with bitter tears, reminding God of his faithful service. And what happened? God’s mercy intervened. God sent Isaiah back with a different message, adding fifteen years to Hezekiah’s life.

This powerful testimony shows us that God’s mercy can cancel death sentences, reverse death verdicts, and override every contrary pronouncement spoken over our lives.
God’s original plan for humanity has always been long life and good health.

He wants us to live long enough to fulfill our purpose and enjoy the fruit of our labour. But the devil comes with a counter-agenda. He says he will break God’s covenant of long life over His children. He plots and schemes to cut people down in their prime.

But I declare to you today that the devil has failed and will continue to fail in Jesus’ name. The Word of God declares in Psalm 118:17, “I shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord.” This is not a suggestion or a wish.

But prophetic declaration that stands as a covenant promise over every believer who walks in obedience to God. However, we must understand that sin opens doors. When sin takes root in a man’s life, it gives the enemy legal ground to operate. Sin is like a crack in the wall of protection around your life.

Through that crack, death can slip in. Sickness can penetrate. But God in His mercy has given us the privilege of repentance. Before sin grows and takes full control to begin destroying your glory and cutting short your days, you have the opportunity to repent.

Repentance closes those bad doors. It seals those cracks. It removes the enemy’s legal right to attack your life with death. Are you having dreams that point to death? Dreams of funerals, coffins, graveyards, or people mourning over you? These are not ordinary dreams. They are spiritual warnings that the enemy is plotting untimely death against your life.

You need to cry out for divine restoration and cancellation of those evil dreams. Don’t take them lightly or brush them aside as meaningless. They are arrows shot from the kingdom of darkness, and you must return them to sender through aggressive prayer.

Are you living in constant fear that death is lurking around the corner? Do you feel like death is stalking you or someone in your family? This fear itself is a weapon the enemy uses to paralyze you and prepare you for the attack. You need to cry out for divine protection.

Fear opens doors just as much as sin does. Perfect love casts out fear, and when you anchor yourself in God’s love and protection, that tormenting fear loses its power over you. God’s mercy is powerful enough to silence the judgement of death.

Even when death has been pronounced, even when circumstances look hopeless, mercy can step in and change the narrative completely. Mercy defends us from death. Mercy protects us from the destroyer. The Bible promises that no evil shall befall us and no plague shall come near our dwelling when we abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

This is the protective covering that God’s mercy provides for those who cry out to Him in genuine repentance and faith. As you engage in these prayer points today, know that God is listening to your cry. He hears every word, every groan, every tear.

Death will not locate you or your family. Every covenant you may have unknowingly entered into with the spirit of death through ancestral agreements, evil dedications, or personal sin is being broken right now by the power of God’s mercy.

You are set free. Your children are set free. Your destiny is liberated from every death trap. Walk forward in confidence, knowing that the God who holds the keys of death and hell has secured your life in His mighty hands. You shall live and not die. You shall fulfill your purpose completely. And you shall testify of God’s goodness in the land of the living.

CONFESSION

Instruction: Pray this confession with deep sincerity and genuine repentance. Let your heart align with every word you speak. This is not mere recitation, it is a covenant declaration before the throne of heaven!

Father Lord, I come boldly before Your throne of grace to make this confession of faith and repentance. I declare that my life is not my own – I have been bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus Christ. You alone are the author and finisher of my faith, the giver and sustainer of my life. Only You have the divine authority to determine the length of my days and the appointed time of my departure from this earth.

I confess that Your will for me is not death, but life – abundant life, long life, and fulfilled life. Your Word declares that with long life You will satisfy me and show me Your salvation. I reject every contrary verdict, every premature death sentence, and every untimely grave appointment that the enemy has designed against my destiny.

I acknowledge before You today that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. I confess every sin – known and unknown that has opened doors to the spirit of death in my life. I repent of unforgiveness, bitterness, fear, ungodly alliances, secret sins, and every form of disobedience that has created gaps in my spiritual hedge. Father, I ask for Your mercy to cover these breaches and close every access point that death has exploited.

By Your abundant mercy, shut every open door in my life. Station Your angels at every gate where the enemy has gained entry. Let the blood of Jesus seal every gap, crack, and opening that has given the spirit of death legal ground to operate in my life. Chase away every messenger of death lurking in the shadows of my vulnerabilities. Let Your divine presence fill every space where sin has created room for destruction.

I confess with unwavering faith that I shall not die but live. I shall complete every divine assignment written in Your book concerning me. I shall fulfill my purpose in its totality not partially, not prematurely, but completely and fully. Every prophetic word spoken over my life shall come to pass. Every dream, vision, and promise from heaven shall be manifested speedily.

By the mercy of God, I shall live to see my children’s children. I shall declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living. Death and hell have lost their grip over my destiny, and eternal life has taken its rightful place in my life. In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name, I have confessed, believed, and received. Amen!

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

Begin this prayer session by entering into the presence of God with a heart full of gratitude and thanksgiving. Lift your voice in worship and adoration to the One who holds your breath in His hands and orders all your steps.

Thank God for the precious gift of life that He has given you. Every breath you take is a testimony of His goodness. Every morning you wake up is evidence of His faithfulness. You did not create yourself, and you cannot sustain yourself by your own power.

It is God who has kept you alive until this very moment. Worship Him for the gift of existence, for the privilege of living, and for the opportunity to experience His love and grace each day. Thank Him deeply for His divine protection that has shielded you from death.

There have been moments when danger was close, when the enemy plotted your destruction, when accidents were planned, when sickness threatened to take you down. But God’s protective hand covered you. His angels encamped around you. His mercy stood as a wall between you and every assignment of death.

You did not even know about many of the dangers you escaped because God fought battles on your behalf in secret. Bless His holy name for protecting you from seen and unseen threats, from known and unknown death traps.

Thank God profusely for His abundant mercies over your life. His mercies are new every morning, and they have never failed you. When you deserved judgement, He gave you mercy. When your sins opened doors to destruction, His mercy closed those doors.

When the enemy came with accusations and death sentences, God’s mercy spoke on your behalf and silenced every contrary voice. His mercy has sustained you through difficult seasons, restored you from setbacks, and kept you standing when others fell.

Worship Him for mercy that never runs dry, for compassion that never grows weary, and for loving-kindness that endures forever. Pour out your heart in thanksgiving. Lift your hands in worship. Sing praises to the God who has kept you alive against all odds.

Magnify His name for His faithfulness. Exalt Him for His protection. Glorify Him for His endless mercies. Let your worship be genuine, heartfelt, and filled with joy. This is the foundation upon which your prayers will stand today.

(DAY 33): A CRY FOR MERCY TO CANCEL UNTIMELY DEATH – Prayer Points

1. O Lord, by Your mercy, cancel every appointment with untimely death in my life, in the name of Jesus.

2. Every covenant with death and agreement with the grave, be broken by fire, in the name of Jesus.

3. By the blood of Jesus, I disconnect from every evil altar speaking death into my life day and night, in the name of Jesus.

4. Any sickness assigned to terminate my life early, be destroyed with your roots, in the name of Jesus.

5. Every fearful dream or vision pointing to my death or the death of my loved one, be cancelled by fire, in the name of Jesus.

6. O Lord, surround me with divine protection day and night by Your fire, in the name of Jesus.

137. Every plan to disgrace me publicly, be frustrated by divine intervention, in the name of Jesus.

138. Powers conspiring to expose my secrets and bring public ridicule, be paralyzed, in the name of Jesus.

139. Any video, recording, or evidence stored to disgrace me publicly, be erased supernaturally, in the name of Jesus.

140. Enemies waiting for my downfall to mock and celebrate, be disappointed, in the name of Jesus.

141. Thank You, Father, because by Your mercy I am preserved, protected, and delivered from untimely death, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER ASSIGNMENT

At intervals throughout the day, place your right hand upon your head or chest and make this bold declaration with strong faith:

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. I am preserved by divine mercy to fulfill every purpose of God for my life. My days are numbered by God alone, and I shall live to complete my divine assignment. Death and hell have no authority over my destiny. I am covered by the blood of Jesus and surrounded by the shield of divine protection. I shall see the fulfillment of every prophetic promise spoken over my life. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!”

Throughout this day, meditate deeply on these life-affirming scriptures:

• Psalm 91 (The Psalm of Divine Protection)
• Psalm 118:17 (The Declaration of Life and Testimony)

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

• Speak this declaration with conviction and authority, not as a wish but as a prophetic decree
• Do not just read it; declare it with your voice and believe it in your heart
• Repeat this exercise whenever fear, anxiety, or negative thoughts about death arise
