Taking 3 am prayer points is a very important spiritual exercise. Although, scripture does not definitively state if 3 am is the best time for believers to pray. However, it gives us clear examples of some servants of God that takes good interest in praying at (night) midnight. One of the example of such is Paul and Silas (Acts 16:20).

The Bible recorded that at midnight    they were singing and praying fervently while in the prison. An earthquake broke open the prison doors, setting the prisoners free. It was not actually stated at what time they stopped their prayer points. Whether it is 1 am, 2 am or even 3 am. That’s why we need the Holy Spirit to minister to us personally as we study His word.

In Luke 6:12, And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. This means that, He sacrificed His sleep to pray all throughout the time to communicate with God. He knew that His Father always heard His prayers. That’s why as believers you must know the best time to pray whether 12 am, or 3 am. I have personally observed great testimonies for praying from 12 am to 3 am.

What happens if someone pray at midnight?

Praying at midnight is very important to every Christian as it points over to our relationship with God. First, it gives us power over the serpent and scorpion (Luke 10:19). Second, it gives us the ability to scatter the plans of the wicked (John 10:10). Third, it provides us the opportunity to break ourselves out from bondage (Oba 1:17). The Bible says in Matthew 6:6, But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Why must we pray the 3’O clock?

The followings are some of the reasons:

1. The 12 am and 3 am prayer is the best time to seek the face of God.
2. The 12 am and 3 am prayer is the time of pleading for mercy and forgiveness.
3. 3 am prayer empowers you to grow stronger and deeper.

The power of 3 am prayers

The warfare prayer between 12 am to 3 am is a very significant moment physically and spiritually. However, this is the time where the forces of darkness are in operation. It is the time where destinies are attacked for the purpose of destruction, stealing and weeping.

Unknown to most people, prayer taking from 12 am to 3 am is a time where the God of Elijah would arise and fight your battles. Most spiritual attacks are usually carried out from 1 am to 3 am. For example, the forces of witchcraft visits so many believers in their dream – sleep.

The best time to attack power of darkness that wage battle against you is  during the night. The enemy fully knows that when people are fast sleep at night that’s when they will strike at the person. That’s why it is very important to cover yourself with the blood of Jesus by reading God’s word and by rising at 12 midnight. Studies have shown that believers that struggle to pray through 12 am, 1 am or 3 am are liable to wake up in pain.

If you learn to pray powerful warfare prayers from 12 am to 3 am, you will become a subject of threat to the host of witchcraft and they will not be able to gain access into your life. It is even more dangerous to embark on a single day night prayer and relax.

Because if you go weak in the face of weakness, your adversary will get hold of you. The Bible says, we should pray without ceasing. The complaint of so many people not been able to pray at night is due to the nature of their work, or the type of activities they often engage themselves with.

The above video is a true reflection of the rate of prayerlessness among Christians today. We all desire breakthroughs, healing, restoration, victory, testimony etc, but the efforts towards night prayer is dwindling away. I feel sorry for some Christians who don’t actually pray at all. The habit of not praying before you sleep makes you vulnerable to affliction, demotion, failure, setbacks etc.

Some people are viewing night prayer as if it is waste of time or a way of depriving ones sleep. It is not good to take somethings for granted. GOD has established the platform for every true born again Christian to pray all through the night and day. Ask yourself this question: How many times have you prayed from 12 am to 3 am this year? If your answer is poor, then that’s the reason you must not give up.
