The Dream Covenant 

JOEL 2:28:  And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.

The word covenant is defined as an agreement between two or more people working together towards achieving a purpose. On the other hand, a dream covenant is a form of agreement between you and God or between you and Satan. God uses the medium of dreams to communicate to man, while Satan uses dreams to trouble people’s lives.

In our opening scripture, the Holy Spirit said he will release his power upon your life. The power to dream and the grace to see visions. When you have a strong relationship with God, it will be easy for God to communicate with you or show you certain things that you need to know in a dream. When God entered a covenant with you through the dream, he will want you to obey what he asked you to do and keep his covenant (Exodus 19:5). 

A dream covenant of God is just like an agreement, promise, oath or something peculiar that is involved between you and God. in 1kings 3:1-15, it clearly states that God appeared to king Solomon in a dream, God asked Solomon what would he want God to do for him and it was in his dream that God and King Solomon agreed to wisdom, knowledge, understanding and enormous wealth to be granted to king Solomon.

In the Bible, God had a covenant with Jonah. The covenant was to go to the city of Nineveh, a sinful nation, and preach the gospel of Christ. Jonah said No, I am not going there. He disobeyed God’s instruction. As a result, God became angry with him and troubled him. Jonah was swallowed by a whale and remained in its belly for 3 days and 3 nights.

It was when he repented that God commanded the whale to vomit him, and God showed him mercy. When you have certain dreams like seeing the stars, seeing yourself praying, reading the bible, going to church, speaking in tongues, preaching the gospel, etc., then it means God has a covenant with you. Maybe he has agreed to bless you through preaching the gospel.

When God asks you to do something, you must fulfill it by his grace, but if you refuse to do it, there is a great consequence that is attached to it. That’s why many people are not fulfilled in life, because they are not doing what God reveals to them in their dreams. In Deuteronomy 29:29, the scripture says, Keep therefore the words of this covenant and do them that you may prosper in all you do.

It is the covenant between God and Abraham that made God reveal all his plans and purpose for Abraham. Brethren, do you have a certain dream that shows there is a covenant that exists between you and God? The funniest thing is that you may have something that is birthing you and the Holy Spirit together in the dream, but in the physical realm, your spiritual life is nothing to write home about.

Another example of a covenant is when a man proposes to marry a woman; it is now left for the woman to say yes or no. If she says yes, I do, a covenant has been established. On the other hand, if she says no, I don’t agreement has not been placed. In the dream world, many people have entered into different covenants with demons in the dream; some made a covenant of sex in the dream, seeing dead people in the dream.

A typical example of demonic covenant is when a man keeps seeing a recurring dream like urinating, such a man has entered a covenant of poverty, sickness, shame, disgrace, and disappointment. When a man keeps having sex in a dream, he has entered a covenant with the spirit spouse, and since there is a covenant between the marine spirit, the spirit spouse will keep disturbing the person in the dream.

In the Bole, Adam and Eve entered a covenant with the devil, and the devil deceived them by giving them wealth, fame, and position. Beloved, are there evil covenants in your life that you are not aware of? If so, you need to prayerfully break it, your case will be like the one in Acts 19:15 that says, Jesus I know and Paul I know, but who are you.

When your life is by evil dedication and covenant, nothing will work in your life. You need to pray to deliver yourself from this destructive dream. A pastor told a woman that you have 20 men following her everywhere she goes; such a woman is possessed and bewitched. We need to pray for breaking the demonic dream covenant in your life.

PRAYER

1. I break every covenant with the spirit of death in Jesus’ name
2. I break every covenant with the spirit of poverty in Jesus’ name
3. I break every covenant with the spirit, shame in Jesus’ name
4. I break every evil covenant of delay in Jesus’ name
5. I break every covenant against my destiny in Jesus’ name
6. I break every covenant of the dream battle in Jesus’ name
7. Every spiritual problem assigned to my name expires in Jesus’ name
8. Every power that has made a covenant with me in the dream, break in Jesus’ name
9. Dream battle surrounding my destiny, scatter in Jesus’ name
10. Any evil covenant hindering God’s covenant in my life, die in Jesus’ name.
