Short Bible Verses To Memorize For This Month

The Bible says in Isaiah 11:2, And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;   However, it is even true that when one’s mind is occupied with so many things such as thoughts etc, there is possibility that a person will find it hard to retain the verses on their head. When  you try to memorize the word, and it keep escaping you  then several things could cause it.

It is possible that your mind is not settled. It is possible that your drugs intake are much. It is possible that your work load can affects the way you retain information. It is possible that you are a slow learner. It is possible you are too weak in the spirit. It is even possible that your spiritman is carnal, thereby giving way for difficulties in understanding the Bible.  Any Christian who loves to pray more but have low interest in reading the Bible, such person is only deceiving himself.

We cannot say we are serving God in truth and in spirit, when we always find it difficult to study the Bible in the morning and night. The Word of God is the believer’s only truly potent weapon against sin, and when placed in the mind through short Bible memory verse, it is a strong influence for godliness and righteous living. When you memorize the word of God into your mind, the wisdom of God will influence you not to be deceived or found ignorance.

Bible memory verses ensures that we have the appropriate time to pray and extend the word of God which we have received to others. Romans 12:1-2  explains to us to “renew” our minds so that we are no longer influenced by the thinking that conforms us to this world. The only way to renew the mind is to fill it with Scripture.
