Job 22:28, ”Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”

Psalms 2:7, ”I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”

Marriage is a great connection between man and woman.  It is an institution established by God for the purpose of fruitfulness, multiplication and replenishment (Gen 1:28).  While wedding card allows you to invite additional guests. However, it reminds one of the date, venue and time of the event.  In Genesis chapter 2, God declares it is not good for Adam (the first man) to live alone. For this purpose, the Lord created Eve to assist and take care of man.  Since God ordained marriage, it has been war right in the garden of Eden and in our world today. War in the marriage, battles in relationships, and disagreement while in a courtship. The bible says, therefore, shall a man live his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife. The two then become one, what a mystery! For example, if you are single, you may have discovered why marriage and wedding are so important to you.

The time of marriage is a time to discover God together; it’s a time of robbing your visions together, a time of knowing your family members and relations, a time to study each other’s culture, a time to study your differences (gender, family background, temperament, personal goals, and cultural differences).  Praying on your wedding card can appear as funny, but its power can be wonderful. There are cases of people that prayed on wedding invitation card and today they are married with children. I have always said it everything we do in life, faith must be added into it.  Single-hood can be very challenging, a lot of singles started with the hope of getting married but ended up cancelling their wedding plans, or card. Why? Because of misunderstanding!

Many people have made costly mistakes  by succumbing to pressure, to marry against their wishes, due to family, societal, parental pressure. Are you confused about knowing the will of God in marriage? Then if your answer is yes, that means your enemies are against your marriage.  The Bible says “For I know the thought that I have towards you, thought of peace and not of evil, to give you a glorious end,” so the plan of God for God for your life is beautiful, it’s the best!!! God will not give you what will hurt or harm you! Marriage is beautiful, but if you ended with the wrong person, the plans of God will not come to pass. However, if you dream that you received a wedding card, it symbolizes marital breakthrough.

The Bible provides wonderful verses about love and marriage. Take the opportunity to shine a spotlight on your relationship with Christ on your wedding day. Praying together will be the perfect way to reflect your perfect love and commitment. If faith plays an important role in your relationship, the two of you should consider incorporating daily prayers in the details of your wedding day.  Your prayers on wedding invitation card will allow your dreams to receive divine approval. One plain truth is this, not everyone is created to marry. The Bible does not say marriage is mandatory . God does not plan for everyone to marry (1 Corinthians 7:38). Jesus didn’t marry. Jeremiah didn’t (Jeremiah 16:2). Likely neither did Paul (1 Corinthians 7:7-8). God has gifted some of His followers to make extreme sacrifices in service to Him without the help or obligation of a spouse. As a believer, you must not give up while in your prayers.  And you should not see marriage as a do or die affair. In everything that you do, let God be involved. You may have lost some wonderful opportunities because of your habit of  ignoring men who doesn’t have. The truth is, when you allow fear of getting married or worried about your old age gain access into you, you may not fulfill your marital glory. This is the reasons why the power of darkness are always looking forward to destroy and scatter marriage.

Wedding card as a means of marital breakthrough

Prayer is very vital in a relationship as well as reading scriptures and your devotion to God. Learn to pray together with your partner, the bible says if two of you shall agree as touching anything, it will be done. There are forces of darkness that may be militating against your life or your future home, you need to destroy their plans in fervent prayers. You need to commit everything, to God in prayers. Jesus said watch and pray!

A TRUE LIFE STORY

Way back when I was in the Polytechnic then, I remember one of my female friends. She was a prayer warrior and faith builder. In fact, she loves situations challenging her faith in Christ. Sadly, she wasn’t married. We often pray together almost everyday like husband and wife despite our academic pressure. One day, she called me. I could remember some of the lines of  her statements. She said: “Evangelist Joshua, don’t you think I’m getting older. And based on my observation, it seems this is not normal but spiritual. I would like you to join me in this battle. I told her, you can always count me in for this spiritual battles. In addition, she told me that the Lord speaks this to her 3 times in separate occasions that she should grab a wedding invitation card and use it as a point of contact. I said if truly is the Holy Spirit talking and not your perception, trust me, am going to suspend my academic activities for your sake and commit my attention to this.

Despite the fact that many of my colleagues thought I was seriously dating this lady then. Our connection was deeply spiritual and friendly. We went to a hidden bush and spent days praying together with this sister on that wedding card. That was it. Months passed, it appears our prayers in the bush was deceptive. It was after close to the end of the year, God cleared the coast and honour our requests. Surprisingly this lady got hooked up to a man who naturally appeared to her as a poor man. At first, (you know some women), she made several efforts to say this is not the type. To call the long story so short, then she later married to her destiny husband. Was I ever invited to her wedding, the beautiful answer is, yes! 🙏🙏🙏

This article or short explanation is a true life story of my female friend in school. Her faith worked for her and her prayers was also answered. I laughed anytime I remember this amusing experience.
