Today is DAY 15 of the 21 days MIDNIGHT PRAYERS.
TIME: 12:00am – 1:00am (Nigerian Time). Kindly start the prayers at exactly 12:00am
Matthew 4:4 says, But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
”It is written” is a statement contained in the Word of God. Whenever Jesus uses that word, Satan tremble and confuse. Jesus Christ challenged the devil through prayers as it is written in His word. The word of God is an instrument of the children of God. When Jesus states ”It is written,” He was quoting the Word to the devil. ”…man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD”. (Matthew 4:1-4). When Satan took Jesus up into the holy city and said to Him, ”If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. Jesus replied it is written: ”He shall give His angels charge over you,” and, ”In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.” (Matthew 4:5-6). And when the enemy quotes Scriptures to you, you must learn to do exactly what Jesus did. He quoted the scriptures back to the devil and Jesus Christ overcome the devil.
Jesus said to him, ”It is written, You shall not tempt the LORD your God” (Matthew 4:7). There are more scriptures than one in the Bible that you must learn to use against the devil no matter how hard it is. It is important for every believer should upgrade themselves by the use of memorising new 5 scriptures everyday. Holding on to a one or two scriptures to fight the devil is not really helpful. In order to defeat the devil, you will have to say to the devil. ”It is written” and I promise you that the devil will flee from you. At the end of the battle between Jesus and the devil, the Bible says, the devil departed from Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him (Matthew 4;10-11). May the Lord minister to you after these prayers in Jesus name.
SELF-EXAMINATION: Jesus was able to defeat the devil because there was no trace of sin in him. Our enemy is the devil. The devil will make sure he picked the word of God from your heart so that you won’t be able to contend with him. Brethren, Jesus has defeated the devil by using the word of God. Before the God’s word can work effectively for you in tonight prayers, it is important you surrender your life to Christ. If you have given your life to Christ, rededicate your life to Christ. There should be total repentance of your sins. You must be a believer with a different. A believer that is not ashamed of God’s word.
