DAY 11: A CRY FOR MERCY TO REVERSE ANCIENT CURSES

Isaiah 43:18-19

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Ezekiel 13:14

I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare.

Exodus 33:19

And the Lord said, ‘I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Exodus 34:6-7

And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

INTRODUCTION

Ancient curses are persistent patterns of affliction that outlive individuals and travel across generations. They often manifest as poverty, marital failure, barrenness, untimely death, chronic sickness, bondage, or unending struggle despite prayers, education, connections, and sincere effort.

Some of these curses were spoken by forefathers. Others were activated by sin, while many were enforced through covenants, idolatry, bloodshed, or ungodly traditions. As a result, many people are fighting battles they do not understand.

They find themselves sharing the same afflictions experienced by their parents, relatives, or extended family members. It is true that ancestral curses can affect multiple generations.

However, the power of divine mercy is able to interrupt the evil flow, terminate the covenant, and deliver an entire family from long-standing affliction. These issues must be confronted spiritually.

In many cases, people have prayed against these problems and even seen temporary relief, only for the same trouble to resurface again. This happens because some battles require more than prayer, they require mercy.

God’s mercy forgives the family, heals the foundation, and closes the door through which the affliction keeps returning. When you cry for mercy, you are saying, “Lord, intervene. Reverse every curse operating in my life and family.”

When you cry for deliverance, you are calling God to step into your family history and bring lasting freedom. In Scripture, God reversed the curse connected to the lineage of Jabez when he cried out for mercy (1 Chronicles 4:9–10).

God also showed mercy to the Israelites and broke the power of generations of bondage by delivering them from Egypt. Mercy is a divine verdict changer. When mercy is invoked with understanding, God rises as a righteous Judge and declares, “Enough.” He puts an end to wicked traditions, evil covenants, and ancestral patterns giving room for attacks in a family line.

Today, Day 11, as we cry for mercy, every stubborn ancestral curse shall be broken. The flow of affliction is terminated in your life, your  foundation is healed, and your family is released into freedom. You are free forever, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

CONFESSION

O Lord my God, I come before Your throne with a humble heart, acknowledging that some battles raging in my life and family did not begin with me. These are wars that have been fought across generations, struggles that have plagued my bloodline long before I was born.

Father, I confess and repent on behalf of my ancestors for every sin both known and unknown that has opened doors to curses in my family lineage. Whether they sinned through ignorance, rebellion, or deception, I stand in the gap today and ask for Your forgiveness.

I acknowledge that the sins of my forefathers have created legal ground for the enemy to operate in my bloodline. But Lord, I appeal to Your abundant mercy that is new every morning. Your Word declares that You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.

By the precious blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on Calvary, I plead for divine intervention. Let that blood speak mercy over every judgment pronounced against my family. Let it wash away every stain of iniquity that has been passed down through generations.

From this day forward, let my family walk in the liberty of the sons and daughters of God, free from every ancestral bondage and limitation. in Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.

Instruction: As you worship God, lift both hands and say quietly, O Lord by Your mercy, let me lineage be redeemed now.

(DAY 11): A CRY FOR MERCY TO REVERSE ANCIENT CURSES – Prayer Points

1. O God of mercy, arise and visit my bloodline today and correct every wrong practices, in the name of Jesus.

2. By the mercy of God, I command every ancestral curse attached to my bloodline to expire now , in the name of Jesus.

3. Any curse enforced by idols, covenants, or bloodshed in my family, break by fire, in the name of Jesus.

4. O God of mercy, arise and overturn every ancient verdict speaking my life, in the name of Jesus.

5. By the mercy of God, every curse traveling through my bloodline and still manifesting in my life, expire, in the name of Jesus.

6. O Lord, forgive the sins of my forefathers that is opening the doors to generational afflictions in my life, in the name of Jesus.

7. Every curse speaking against my name, destiny, and future, be broken by fire, in the name of Jesus.

8. By God’s mercy, I disconnect my destiny from ancient errors and inherited punishment, it is minus me and my family, in the name of Jesus.

9.O Lord, I refuse to carry what my parents could not finish or are tired of continuing, in the name of Jesus.

10. Father, enforce the victory of the cross over my bloodline, in the name of Jesus.

11. O Let my bloodline against future ancestral attacks, in the name of Jesus.

12. Father, restore back whatever ancestral curses have stolen from my family, in the name of Jesus.

13. O Lord, silence every ancestral voice demanding monthly sacrifice from me, in the name of Jesus.

14. O God, let Your power pursue and dismantle all ancient curses still active in my lineage, in the name of Jesus.

15. Every generational curse hiding behind culture and tradition, be exposed and broken by the power of God, in the name of Jesus.

16. Father, let the blood of Jesus erase ancestral agreement over me and my family, in the name of Jesus.

17. By the blood of Jesus, I withdraw my destiny from ancestral covenant and bondage, in the name of Jesus.

18. Blood of Jesus, speak mercy over every sin of my forefathers that has opened doors to ancient curses in my life, in the name of Jesus.

19. O Lord, let the cross of Christ reverse every curse written against my bloodline, in the name of Jesus.

20. Every altar where the blood of animals was shed by my ancestors to seal curses, I override that blood with the eternal blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

21. Every curse of repeated mistakes and cyclical failures in my family, I break the cycle and decree that I will finish well, in the name of Jesus.

22. By the mercy of God, I silence every ancestral voice accusing me day and night, in the name of Jesus.

23. O God of mercy, let every curse enforcing poverty,  be broken over my life, in the name of Jesus.

24. Every good thing that was prophesied over my ancestors but was blocked by curses, I decree the manifestation of those blessings in my generation, in the name of Jesus.

25. Let the mercy of the Lord be my covering and shield against every attempt of the enemy to reactivate ancient curses in my life, in the name of Jesus.

26. O Lord, let Your mercy announce a new beginning for my lineage, in the name of Jesus.

27. Father, let Your mercy restore my lost glory and stolen opportunities, in the name of Jesus.

28. By the mercy of God, I step into generational blessings ordained by heaven, in the name of Jesus.

29. Any curse disguised as a blessing or advice spoken over my life by people with evil intentions, I expose and destroy that curse, in the name of Jesus.

30. Any agreement my ancestors made with death, hell, or destruction, I cancel that agreement and make a new covenant with life, in the name of Jesus.

31. Father, let Your mercy dismantle every generational prison holding my destiny captive, in the name of Jesus.

32. By the blood of Jesus, I recover my stolen glory from ancestral altars and coven, in the name of Jesus.

33. O Lord, by Your unfailing mercy, arise and reverse every ancient curse speaking against my life, in the name of Jesus.

34. Every curse programmed into my bloodline before I was born, be nullified by the mercy of God, in the name of Jesus.

35. Father, let Your mercy rewrite my family history and erase every evil record attached to my name, in the name of Jesus.

36. Every curse that followed my family name from generation to generation, lose your grip by the mercy of God, in the name of Jesus.

37. Any ancestral curse waiting for a certain age or season to manifest, be neutralized by mercy, in the name of Jesus.

38. By the mercy of God, I disconnect my children and generations after me from ancestral curses, in the name of Jesus.

39. Father, let Your mercy dismantle every legal ground the enemy is using against my destiny, in the name of Jesus.

40. Any curse enforcing unfinished projects and abandoned destinies in my family, be broken by mercy, in the name of Jesus.

41. Any ancient curse that causes good things to come late or not at all, be reversed by mercy, in the name of Jesus.

42. Any curse that turns helpers into haters in my life, expire by mercy, in the name of Jesus.

43. Father, let Your mercy lift me out of ancestral valleys and place me on the mountain of favour, in the name of Jesus.

44. Any curse that attacks me when I am close to breakthrough, be broken by mercy, in the name of Jesus.

45. Father, let Your mercy provoke divine exemption for me from ancestral judgments, in the name of Jesus.

46. Father, by Your mercy, give me a new spiritual identity that nullifies ancestral curses, in the name of Jesus.

47. Every curse that turns my breakthroughs into breakdowns at the last minute, I nullify your operations and decree permanent victory, in the name of Jesus.

48. Any ancient curse that has made education difficult for members of my family, causing dropouts and academic failures, I break that curse by fire, in the name of Jesus.

49. Any curse that has been making members of my family to suffer from strange and unexplainable sicknesses that doctors cannot diagnose, I command healing, in the name of Jesus.

50. Any curse that causes members of my family to be prepared but never get their opportunity to shine, I command open doors, in the name of Jesus.

51. Any curse demanding that I must repeat my parents’ struggles, be cancelled by the power of God, in the name of Jesus.

52. Every curse that makes my effort invisible, be cancelled by mercy, in the name of Jesus.

53. Any ancient curse assigned to waste my years, expire by mercy, in the name of Jesus.

54. Every curse that attacks me when helpers appear, die by fire in the name of Jesus.

55. Father, by Your mercy, cancel ancestral curses affecting my health, strength, and longevity, in the name of Jesus.

56. I decree that no weapon formed against me through ancient curses shall prosper, and every tongue that rises in judgment I condemn, in the name of Jesus.

57. Any star of greatness in my family that was covered by clouds of curses, I command those clouds to scatter and my star to shine, in the name of Jesus.

58. Every curse that makes good things come close to me but never into my hands, I break your power and decree manifestation, in the name of Jesus.

59. Thank You, Jesus, for responding to my cry of mercy and granting my requests, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER ASSIGNMENT

Write down the ancient curses you believe have been affecting your life on a piece of paper. Pray earnestly over them. Then tear the paper into pieces, declaring: ‘By the blood of Jesus, I break these curses. They shall no longer have power or effect in my life.’ Call your family name aloud before God and ask Him to show you mercy and completely disconnect you from every ancestral affliction.
